Leonard, Street and Deinard has a historic and longstanding commitment to pro bono legal service to our community. Today we have numerous pro bono programs in place, including the Leonard, Street and Deinard Legal Clinic in the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis. Firm attorneys serve low-income clients with a variety of legal needs: family law, immigration, housing, government benefits, consumer and other issues.
Firm attorneys also volunteer legal services to organizations such as the Volunteer Lawyers Network, Advocates for Human Rights,
The Minnesota Disability Law Center, The Children's Law Center and various other programs. Each year our attorneys provide hundreds of hours of pro bono legal represention for dozens of nonprofit organizations on environmental, civil liberties and other issues. In addition, they donate time to a number of individual pro bono projects.
Our pro bono efforts are managed by our Pro Bono Director, Theresa Hughes, and a standing Pro Bono Committee. Our Legal Clinic is administrated by two lawyers and the Pro Bono Director. We invite you to learn more about our pro bono activities and community involvement.
