Girard Miller, a shareholder in the Energy practice at Leonard, Street and Deinard, has been selected to serve on Law360's 2013 Energy Editorial Advisory Board.
This is the third consecutive year that Girard has held a role on the 10-member board, which is tasked with capturing feedback on Law360's coverage and gaining insight from leaders in the field on how best to shape future coverage.
Since the early 1990s, Girard has represented clients in the growth and financing of alternative energy projects involving wind, biofuels, biomass and solar projects. He has represented developers, landowners, turbine (and other) manufacturers, investment banks, hedge funds, lenders and utilities.
He has also represented clients in connection with the Department of Energy loan guarantee program, the production tax credit, Section 1603 grants, the acquisition of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) as applicable to project developers, utilities in connection with satisfying state renewable portfolio standards and clients in connection with LEED certification.
In 2009, Girard was named one of "40 Minnesotans on the Move" by Finance & Commerce for work in Alternative Energy Law, and he’s been selected for inclusion as a Super Lawyer® from 2001-2012.
