Lara O. Glaesman, a shareholder at Leonard, Street and Deinard, has been named among the year's top "Women to Watch" by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
The newspaper's annual "Women in Business" program, now in its 15th year, honors Twin Cities' women who exemplify professional and community leadership. Glaesman was singled out for her professional and community contributions. She was honored at a special event on May 23 and profiled in a special issue of the Business Journal.
Though she works in several practice areas at Leonard, Street and Deinard, Glaesman's primary focus is bankruptcy. She represents a variety of clients, from secured and unsecured creditors to financial institutions, trustees and business owners. Her practice includes working with creditors in all stages of the debt restructuring and recovery process, as well as all aspects of the bankruptcy process.
This isn't the first recognition earned by Glaesman. Minnesota Lawyer twice named her an "Up & Coming Attorney" (2006 and 2011). She has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers®–Rising Stars in 2008, 2009 and 2010. And Benchmark Litigation identified her as a "future star" in its 2012 rankings.
In addition, Glaesman is co-editor-in-chief of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Bankruptcy Bulletin and was appointed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Minnesota to serve on a 15-member bankruptcy-practice committee.
