Rifkind will work out of the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, expanding its capabilities in transportation litigation and regulation.
Leonard, Street and Deinard announced today that David Rifkind has joined the firm as a shareholder.
Rifkind focuses his regulatory and litigation practice principally on the transportation and insurance industries. He has represented major corporations in complex litigation in federal and state courts, in arbitration and before federal agencies. He frequently counsels clients on regulatory compliance and dispute resolution.
Rifkind is also active in the Association of Transportation Law Professionals, serving as president of the association from 2007-2008.
Prior to joining Leonard, Street and Deinard, Rifkind was special counsel at Steptoe & Johnson and an associate at Condon & Forsyth, both in Washington, D.C. He also served as a legislative assistant to Rep. James H. Scheuer (D-New York) in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Rifkind earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from Emory University.
