Leonard, Street and Deinard has honored four attorneys for their exemplary pro bono legal service and extraordinary commitment to the Minneapolis community.
- Douglas R. Boettge, a shareholder in the firm's Business and Commercial Litigation division, was honored as Legal Clinic Volunteer of the Year.
- Ruth A. Rivard, an associate in the firm's Business and Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property/Information Technology divisions, was honored for Legal Service to the Indigent.
- Scott G. Harris, a shareholder in the firm's Energy division, was honored for Legal Service to the Community.
- Aleava R. Sayre, an associate in the firm's Environmental Law division, was honored for Legal Service in the Public Interest.
Leonard, Street and Deinard has a long-standing commitment to pro bono legal service, stemming from the values of its founders. In 2007, Leonard, Street and Deinard's attorneys, paralegals and staff contributed to the indigent and to civic causes a combined total of 13,562 pro bono hours with a value of nearly $4 million.
Reflecting on Leonard, Street and Deinard's pro bono history, the firm's president, Joseph Finley, anticipates continued dedication and achievement in years ahead, saying, "With an eye to the future, we are equally excited by the new pro bono partnerships that are developing."
