Leonard, Street and Deinard was honored by the Work-Life Champions Partnership, which recognizes Minnesota employers who create a flexible and supportive workplace and enable their employees to meet a dual agenda: meeting family and personal responsibilities and achieving business objectives.
The firm, one of only 12 organizations recognized, was honored with a “Silver Award” in the Large Employer category. Selection criteria was based on an extensive application process and a survey of a random sample of firm employees whose responses were evaluated by a panel of judges.
Leonard, Street and Deinard was saluted for its flexible work schedule, its commitment to promoting health and wellness, and six weeks of paid parental leave for both male and female attorneys, to name a few. The judges were impressed by demonstrated examples of trusting relationships within the firm, noting that employees are trusted to handle their responsibilities at work while maintaining a flexible schedule. They also recognized that a notable percentage of employees at our firm (including 11% of attorneys) work alternative schedules.
The Work-Life Champions Partnership is affiliated with the Center for Ethical Business Cultures at the University of St. Thomas. To read more about this year’s award recipients, including Leonard, Street and Deinard, visit www.worklifechampions.org/champions.
