Brian J. Schoenborn has been named among Central Minnesota’s “Top Five Business Leaders Under 40” by the St. Cloud Times and ROI Central Minnesota magazine.
Schoenborn, who has been a shareholder at Leonard, Street and Deinard and managing partner of its St. Cloud office since 2001, was recently named one of the “Top Five Business Leaders Under 40” in Central Minnesota, in a feature by the St. Cloud Times and ROI Central Minnesota magazine. He was recognized in the January 2006 issue along with four others who have emerged as business leaders in the Central Minnesota area and positioned themselves to make a lasting impact. According to the magazine, “their leadership, innovation and commitment to the community inspires peers and shapes the area’s economic landscape.”
Schoenborn, a lifelong St. Cloud resident, focuses his practice on family and closely held businesses and provides general counsel representation to closely held and family businesses within the sports and entertainment, high technology and manufacturing industries. His experience includes business acquisitions and sales, intellectual property protection, real estate development and estate planning. He has been named a “Rising Star” by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine.
Schoenborn is a member of the U.S. Hockey League Board of Directors and co-owner of both the Sioux Falls Stampede and the Des Moines Buccaneers of the U.S. Hockey League. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at St. Cloud State University, where he teaches courses in law and entrepreneurship.
He is very active in community and civic organizations including serving as chair of the Minnesota Real Estate Foundation; member of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation Board of Trustees; and a member of the Board of Directors of the Brian Kleinfelter Memorial Foundation.
Schoenborn received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1995, where he served as articles editor of the Minnesota Journal of Global Trade, and his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from St. Cloud State University in 1992.
