Speaking Engagement
A three-member panel will engage in a detailed discussion of the ethical obligations of attorneys in bankruptcy cases. The presentation will describe: (i) the rules established by both the State of Minnesota and the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, (ii) the similarities and differences between the two sets of rules, (iii) the interpretation of those rules by the Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility and various Bankruptcy Courts, (iv) the numerous and unique types of client representation in bankruptcy cases, and (v) the various stages in a bankruptcy case during which ethics issues may arise.
Ken Jorgensen and Professor Nancy B. Rapoport will lead the discussion, and Lara Glaesman will moderate the event.
