Proposed changes to municipal market regulation are wide-ranging. She will provide an overview of existing municipal securities laws and illuminate proposed changes.

Topics will include:

  • Exemption
  • Anti-fraud
  • MSRB
  • Sideways regulation
  • Financial and market reform legislation
  • Changes to SEC Rule 15c2-12
  • SEC and IRS cooperation

The NALHFA Washington Policy Conference will be held Mar. 25-27, 2010, at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, D.C. Other confirmed speakers include Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and David Crow, Chief Economist, National Association of Homebuilders. More information about the conference is available here.
