Volha “Olga” Andreyeva practices in Leonard, Street and Deinard’s Energy group, where she focuses on transportation law, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulatory and compliance issues, as well as general transactional representation, including the development and financing of renewable energy projects and merger and acquisition of jurisdictional facilities.
Additionally, Olga is an adjunct to the firm’s Immigration Law practice group, representing employers and individuals (mainly in the renewable energy sector) with their immigration needs, including non-immigrant (temporary) and immigrant (permanent or green card) visas, as well as I-9 compliance. She is also active with the firm’s legal clinic, representing indigent clients in a variety of immigration matters. Olga is a native Russian speaker.

Experience
On the compliance side, Olga assists in counseling clients and preparing training materials on:
- NERC reliability standards.
- FERC market manipulation rules.
- Capacity release rules.
- Annual report of natural gas transactions (FERC Form No. 552).
- Filings associated with disposition of jurisdictional facilities and mergers and acquisitions.
Olga’s transactional experience includes:
- Assisting in representing a lessee of a 30% interest in a coal-fired plant in acquisition of owner participant interest pursuant to sale-leaseback transaction and financing the acquisition with a $100 million loan.
- Assisting in representing the owner of a coal-fired plant in negotiation of $204 million purchase and sale agreement of its interests in the jurisdictional plant.
- Due diligence and closing support on various transactions.
