Victoria Lupu is an associate in Leonard, Street and Deinard’s St. Cloud office and a longtime resident of the area. Her practice is primarily focused on providing general counsel services to local family-owned and closely held businesses, but she also has experience working with larger national and international companies. Victoria works closely with all her clients, no matter their size, in order to provide well-tailored advice and products that are perfectly suited to each client’s unique needs.
Prior to joining Leonard, Street and Deinard, Victoria worked at another St. Cloud firm in the field of insurance defense, where she gained broad litigation and courtroom experience. This background has provided Victoria with a unique perspective and an understanding of the potential issues surrounding business transactions and the absolute importance of quality, detail-oriented work on the front end of such deals. Combined with a strong belief in client service and communication, these ideals reflect the foundation of Victoria’s practice and both her work product and ethic.
In addition to her work at Leonard, Street and Deinard, Victoria is involved in the Stearns-Benton Bar Association and assists as an attorney coach for the Apollo Mock Trial Team. She is also active in LegalCORPS and WomenVenture, two nonprofit organizations designed to assist qualifying entrepreneurs and business owners in the organization, development, management and dissolution of their companies.
On a more personal level, Victoria was born and raised in St. Cloud and attended Tech High School. She then left Minnesota for Scotland and attended the University of St. Andrews for her undergraduate, majoring in medieval history. There, Victoria met her Romanian-Norwegian-Scottish husband, Alex, who recently immigrated to the U.S. from the U.K. They are now happily living in St. Cloud and spending as much time as possible at the family lake place up near Nevis, Minnesota. In addition to fishing and canoeing “up north,” one of Victoria’s greatest joys is traveling the world. Her exposure to cultures and beliefs beyond her own has proven invaluable and has fostered an open and curious mindset, making Victoria always ready for the next adventure or challenge life has to offer.
