Steve Mayeron represents clients in a wide variety of real estate and commercial finance transactions. Steve regularly represents regulated banks, private investment firms and other financial companies in commercial finance transactions. Much of Steve’s finance practice focuses on secured lending and structured finance transactions in the energy and commercial real estate sectors. Steve also regularly represents national retailers in development and leasing matters.

The balance of Steve’s practice involves the representation of developers, purchasers, sellers, owners and tenants of commercial real estate. He is an MSBA Board Certified Real Property Law Specialist.

Representative Transactions

• Counsel to private investment firm in connection with the creation and operation of a $500 million credit facility to finance the acquisition by borrower of multiple commercial real estate and mortgage loan assets. 
• Counsel to Midwestern-based utility company in connection with multiple financing transactions under two utility mortgage indentures.
• Primary and local counsel to lenders in connection with construction lending, term loan financing, and sale-leaseback transactions for the financing of wind farms, biodiesel facilities and ethanol facilities.
• Counsel to owner of a 315 MW fuel oil fired power plant in connection with mortgage loan financing of the facility and sale of a portion of the equity ownership of the facility.
• Represent family of publicly traded mutual funds in the making of loans secured by commercial and multifamily real estate properties.
• Counsel to two national retailers in connection with new store development, acquisition and leasing.
