Sean Simpson is a corporate attorney in the firm’s Mankato, Minnesota, office. Sean provides advice and general counsel to both large and small companies seeking practical solutions. He has a background in corporate matters as well as commercial litigation. Sean’s experience as general counsel and litigator provides him with the practical experience and business knowledge to develop practical solutions for his clients that lead to ongoing success.

Sean currently acts as outside general counsel for a number of agricultural businesses. His clients are involved in activities related to livestock production management services (both domestic and international), veterinary services, livestock marketing and risk management. Sean’s experience in the agricultural industry includes structuring and negotiating contractual arrangements among producers (both small and large), packers (Hormel, Cargill, Morrell, Swift and Tyson), and animal health/pharmaceutical companies (Merck, Intervet/BI, and Pfizer). Sean has also been involved with structuring and negotiating arrangements between his clients and various genetics providers. He also advises his clients on regulatory compliance issues involving the USDA, GIPSA and various State agencies. His experience also involves international operations in China and Latin America, including operations and human resources/visa issues.

Sean was previously general counsel for Midwest Wireless, a company offering wireless communication services in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. After Midwest Wireless was acquired by Alltel in 2006, Sean served as Senior Counsel for Alltel until joining Leonard, Street and Deinard’s corporate practice.
