Phil Ashfield has substantial experience working with creditors inside and outside of bankruptcy, and he has a proven track record of maximizing recoveries and securing the return of valuable collateral for his clients. Phil strives to fully understand his clients’ objectives and to tailor creative and workable solutions to their specific issues, objectives and concerns. Phil is a member of the Bankruptcy Litigation and Corporate Restructuring practice at Leonard, Street, and Deinard, as well as the Business and Commercial Litigation practice.
Prior to joining the firm, Phil focused on representing special servicers of commercial mortgage-backed securities as well as lenders and financial institutions in commercial loan workouts and related litigation. While in law school at the University of St. Thomas, Phil served as a senior editor for the University of St. Thomas Law Journal.
Phil is a native of the eastern suburbs of Saint Paul, where he currently lives with his wife and three children, and continues to work toward creating a respectable golf game.
