He frequently appears before the Minnesota Legislature, the Minnesota Department of Commerce and other agencies. He has assisted insurers and producers with many Minnesota regulatory issues, such as holding company act filings, transaction applications, solvency investigations, enforcement matters and product filings.
Prior to joining Leonard, Street and Deinard, Pete was an officer of St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company, where his assignments included serving as division counsel to the Medical Services division and subsequently as Group Counsel to the Specialty Commercial insurance group, leading a group of attorneys and other professionals in providing counsel to St. Paul Fire and Marine’s niche markets.
