Mike Taylor is chair of the firm’s Litigation Division and a member of its Board of Directors. He has more than 27 years of experience representing general contractors, construction managers, specialty subcontractors, architects, engineers, developers and owners in trials, arbitrations and mediations throughout the United States. His national practice involves construction and design defects, project delay, disruption, mechanic’s liens, payment and performance bonds, insurance claims, claims for extra work and catastrophic fire loss. He also counsels construction clients on a broad range of non-litigated issues, including dispute avoidance and insurance and bond procurement. He has represented clients in hundreds of contract negotiations, and is familiar with all the construction industry standard form contracts, including the AIA, AGC and EJCDC forms.

 

Mike also writes and speaks extensively on construction law issues, both for the construction lawyers’ bar and for national, regional and local trade organizations such as the AGC, AIA and RCI.
