Kelly Quam is the head of the Real Estate group of Leonard, Street and Deinard. Her practice includes all aspects of commercial real estate law, including acquisitions and sales, development, leasing and financing. Kelly has particular experience in the acquisition and development of retail projects; she has represented Target Corporation for more than ten years on new shopping center developments and redevelopment of existing shopping centers across the country. Kelly also handles real estate matters for clients developing renewable energy projects and transportation projects.
Prior to joining the firm, Kelly served as judicial clerk for the Honorable Donald P. Lay in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Experience
Recent highlights of Kelly’s experience include:
- Represented DM&E Railroad and Canadian Pacific in the acquisition and assembly (via acquisition and condemnation) of hundreds of land parcels in South Dakota and Wyoming for the development of a 162-mile-long new railroad alignment.
- Represented Target Corporation in the opening of six new Target stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio and Missouri and the redevelopment of a Target store in Massachusetts.
- Represented e-retailer in leasing and developing of their warehouse distribution centers on the east coast.
