Brian Schoenborn is managing partner of Leonard, Street and Deinard’s St. Cloud, Minnesota, office, where he focuses his practice on family and closely held businesses. Brian has substantial experience providing general counsel representation to closely held and family businesses within manufacturing, high technology, and sports and entertainment industries. This experience includes business acquisitions and sales, business succession planning, real estate development and estate planning. Brian is co-chair of Leonard, Street and Deinard’s Sports and Entertainment practice group and deeply involved in sports facility development throughout the Midwest. He is also active in the private business, estate planning, community banking and emerging companies practice areas.

Brian is a member of the United States Hockey League (USHL) Board of Directors and co-owner of the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL. Additionally, he is a member of the American Association of Professional Baseball (AAPB) Board of Directors and co-owner of the Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants of the AAPB. Brian also serves as a Discussion Leader for the Anderson Center Negotiations Forum and serves on the Center’s Leadership Forum.

Brian is very active with various community and civic organizations including serving on the Minnesota Real Estate Foundation, Central Minnesota Community Foundation Board of Trustees and is a Founding Director of the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation. In 2006, he was named by the St. Cloud Times and ROI magazine as one of the Top 5 business people under the age of 40 in Central Minnesota. He was honored with the President’s Award from Minnesota Hockey for his dedication to and promotion of amateur hockey throughout Minnesota. Brian has also been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers®-Rising Stars multiple times.
