Brenda Robertson works with attorneys within the Construction, Corporate and Business, Energy and Regulated Industries practice groups. A paralegal located in Leonard, Street and Deinard’s Washington, D.C., office, she has particular experience in litigation management, legal research and regulatory compliance in connection with various issues subject to the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission, and various federal and local courts including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Brenda supports attorneys and clients in regulatory compliance matters related to FERC tariffs. In this capacity, Brenda has coordinated the firm’s implementation of eTariff capabilities and provides tariff administration, editing, formatting and management services to clients in the electric, natural gas and oil industries.
Brenda similarly supports clients in FERC regulatory compliance obligations including, but not limited to, the preparation and submittal of various reports, filings and applications such as Electronic Quarterly Reports, reports related to interlocking directorates, report of retail purchasers, and other reports and filings necessary for the maintenance of market-based rate authorization and Qualifying Facility status.
Brenda is also responsible for researching various regulatory issues, monitoring proceedings and filing pleadings in proceedings before the FERC.
Brenda is experienced in the use of litigation support software and in the setup and maintenance of client extranet sites.
